Rather Than Be Frustrated!

If you are frustrated and it seems that it takes 2 hours to do 3 math problems or sentences, the material may be too hard.  Take a deep breath and quiz your child orally and see if they need further instruction or it’s time to take a step back.  It is way better to review the material and your childs understanding than to spin your wheels!

Making Christmas Presents

I am so thrilled about the Christmas present I am giving my mom this year.  I totally copied the idea from my best friend but that’s cool.  It is a T-shirt that will have my girls hand prints and the boys foot prints.  On top it will read Property of then I will write their names over their prints and put the date on the bottom.  It was also super cheap and I know she will love it!  The best place to get a plain quality T-shirt is at Michael’s.  They are only $3.99 each and sometimes you can get them on sale for 5 for $10.  The paint was $.49 cents and I got some paint brushes for $5.00.  I stepped up on the brushes so I can use them for other home school projects.  This craft also counts as school work, so I will take a picture and submit it as arts and crafts!  It’s funny how proud I am for getting a great bargain on a gift!  My mom will wear it out!  I’m even thinking of making a matching one for my dad.  Watch out I can get out of control!

Listening to Audio Books

Audio Books are Ear Resistable

Audio Books are Ear Resistable

I would say my biggest past time right now for myself is listening to books on tape.  I get them from the library in either CD form or through their electronic library then put them on my iPod.  It is great for housework!  I just put on a book, go to work and the time flies.  I also listen while I am driving so the kids can hear their music or movie or audio book.  I am going through quite a few books.  The library has so many resources that are not just print books. If you visit Saclibrary.org under the catalog section you can see the eaudiobook link.  You just use your library card and create a pin very easy and they have a lot to choose from. Robert likes the self improvement.  You can even download them onto your phone (if it’s fancy enough).
